How do you get smells out of stuffed animals without washing? Any simple way?

Spray the stuffed animals with "Smells BeGone". Smells BeGone is amazing. It has no smell of its own and is completely non-toxic. Plus, it doesn’t just cover smells up, like most air fresheners do…it actually gets rid of them. Any smells will be eliminated instantly.

You can buy Smells BeGone at Bed, Bath, & Beyond or Aco Hardware. Or you can buy it over the Internet:

http://www.google.com/search?q=smells+begone+spray&hl=en&tbm=shop&aq=f

Smells BeGone costs a little more than most air fresheners, but it’s truly unique and worth the extra couple of dollars. It will last you a long time, too.

Smells BeGone has a 5-star rating on Amazon:

http://www.amazon.com/Punati-Chemical-00112-Smells-Begone/dp/B002HI5U12

It’s amazing stuff.

My niece posted this on her FB and I thought it was a beautiful idea.

Mattel did make a one-off Barbie with no hair for a little girl who had cancer, but as far as I know, they have no plans to release it commercially. It’s a good idea though, why don’t you write in to them?

Growing up, I was the only kid who had a set, or even what they are. I know they were made in the ’80s, but I want to know why they were discontinued and why no one has ever heard of them. If you could tell me what happened, or post a link that has an answer, I would greatly appreciate it.

Playskool Pipeworks were expensive as far as building sets were concerned in the 1980s. They had white tubes, multi colored connectors, and you used a little toy wrench to put the pieces together. They were a really neat building toy because they were "life size" which meant you could build houses, forts, and all sorts of other neat things with them. Because of their size, a lot of parents didn’t buy them because there was no place to store them, and their size also made them cost a lot more than Tinker Toys, Lincoln Logs, Erector Sets, and similar building sets. They were designed by John Coong and they were finally discontinued in 1987 shortly after the Super Wheel Set was released.

The manual for Pipeworks can be found on the Hasbro website: http://www.hasbro.com/common/instruct/Pipeworks1000-2000-3000.pdf

The original 1980s commercial can be found on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=El7HJLJYlck

You can still find sets of Pipeworks on E-bay.

Playskool never officially announced why they discontinued Pipeworks building toys.

This is the exact same doll with the exception that one doll is african american and the other is white. Yet there is approximately a $20 difference in the price.

The list price is the same – it’s Amazon that gives a greater discount for the white doll. You ought to ask Amazon why they don’t apply the same discount to both models.

And ask Mattel Shop why they only stock the white doll – they ought to be selling both.

My guess is that the ‘answer’ is that they sell more white dolls, so they can offer a greater discount on the high volume one. Doesn’t make it morally right, though.

If your taking about making prototypes and such you’ll need a heavy art background. Not only for sketching out ideas, but for drawing working plans and then sculpting to get prototypes ready before production. There is also the artist eye to know what colors compliment each other and make the final product pleasing to the consumer.

If your wanting just to make the figures, like pour arms or legs and then assemble the toy no need to go to college, just go to China and get a job in a toy factory.

Looking for small plastic cowgirl figurines to put on a birthday cake. I’ve been looking in stores and on the internet for weeks and all I can find are things like giant dolls from movies or ceramic ones that would sink through the cake. I’m looking for something that’s like the size of those little plastic green army men. Something a little larger would be ok…as long as it won’t sink through the cake. Thank you.

Hi, I looked around a bit and you’re right, it’s proving quite hard to find. What I did find though, is if you go to www.personalisedcakes.info/cake-toppers.php and you do a search for cowgirl centerpiece, you’ll find a centerpiece which is actually meant to decorate a table, but it might work as a centerpiece for your cake. Depending on how big the cake is. There are also a few cowgirl party supplies, like plates, party boxes, and banners,

If you want a figurine though and you can’t find one; look in the toy section of any local store, you might be able to find a small cowgirl toy that you can use. I’ve done that with birthday cakes for my kids when they like something specific that I can’t find at cake decorating places.

Good luck!

Etsy has everything handmade, and a lot of things they claim are handmade but really aren’t. There are, however, artists on the site that do custom work. I’m sure you can find someone there who would be able to do it.

Please help! Thanks!

If you want something unusual or exotic, you might look into resin garage kits, but don’t expect them to be cheap, expecially if you want them ready-built. Thee are some modelers who do commission work and will make pretty much any model you want IF you can afford it.

This is a good place to start: http://theclubhouse1.net/
You’ll have to sign-up to access the forums though.
