Why do people start talking about how much money they make?

Posted by admin on February 23rd, 2010 and filed under talking | 9 Comments »

I’ve observed that when I meet people after small talk they often start talking about issues they have because of how much money they make. Girls tell me men get intimidated by how much money they make and men tell me girls want to use them because of how much money they make. I don’t understand why do my friends keep talking like this when they are around me ?? They are usually professional.

In my humble opinion, people who insist talking about how much money they make or have are very insecure about who they are. They try to make themselves look important by throwing dollar signs around the conversation. I had a coworker recently who was all about money. She was pathetic.

What does the law say about talking about political subjects in the pulpit by a minister?

What does the law say about talking about political subjects in the pulpit by a minister? I’ve heard they can get in big trouble for it but I have never heard this? Are there any case/stories of this? At any level of government in the United States or Canada? Please cite sources.

The church will lose its tax-exempt status, as they are considered to be religious, not political. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech– it’s a tax issue.

How do I start talking to this girl in my class if I don’t know her?

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010 and filed under talking | 12 Comments »

Anyways, been going to college for a while, and this chick in my english class is bangin’. I dont know anyone here so how the hell do I talk to here. If I start talking to her out of noowhere, then it would seem weird. And what would I say or talk about?

The thing about approaching a girl is confidence. Women LOVE this. Im sure you already know which way she walks after class, so go the same way goes. Catch up to her, don’t run, or wait for her, or grab her! Talk about something INTERESTING like the election, or how boring english class is, or how hard class is. I would suggest something on English class since you don’t know her that well. Don’t talk about something corny like "gee the weather is nice today" lol. See how she responds, if she blows you off, then you know she either has a boyfriend or is not interested. If you responds intuitively then GREAT, but DON’T ask for her phone number just yet! You don’t want to look desperate! The next class, watch her actions. Check to see if she looks at you and her body language toward you. If you see a signal of interest then GREAT again. But wait until the following class. Go the same way she goes again, same as before. This time try to compliment her like her purse, shoes, hair, smile. Then ask for her number. After that, its up to you ;)

How soon should a baby start talking?

My son is 2 years and 9 months old, and he still hasn’t started talking. He does repeat the alphabets and numbers (1-10) along with us, says hi when he sees us, but thats about it. No real communication. He is almost 3 years old and it is kinda getting us worried. Is this ok? And he is a premature baby, born in the 8th month itself. Does that have anything to do with this?

He sounds fine. My nephew was the same way. He just wouldn’t speak until he was a little over 3 years old. Now, he won’t stop talking…lol.

There are many forms of communication. As long as he is able to let you know in some fashion what he wants/needs and is making eye contact and being social then there is nothing to worry about. Enjoy the peace for now cause like I said once they start talking, you’ll miss these days.

How does talking about death, war, killing and more death and bloodshed get me into heaven?

Have they lost the love to only tell us about death, war and killing, bloodshed and tears and death and war?

Wait I know lets talk about death and war and killing for the next 3000 years. That surely will help!
RIGHT SHIA?
When do you think we will see something good from these people. Pointing backstabbing and death talking. Do you like serial killer books too?

in holy quran allah swt narrated so many history lessons having stories ….for advising us …not to indulge in these………but in the very early ….muslims started fighting with each other …killing …more muslims …amongthemselves …than the non muslims could never imagine tor that …till today muslims had done so great job that awere beyond the imaginations of non muslims …i think the responsibilities lies on religious leaders …and intellectuals …to formulate the code of conduct on the basis of hunanism ….as islam has to be above the humanism …not below that ….

What type of crackers are they talking about?

In "What to Expect the First Year" one of the milestones listed is "feed self a cracker". What type of crakers are they talking about? All the "crakers" I’ve seen in the stores for babies are listed for being for much older children than the milestones are listed for. So, what type of cracker did you first feed your child?
I figured the ones made for babies would be softer and dissolve in the mouth faster so as to prevent the baby from choking. I didn’t think that they had magic ingredients for babies. Is there really a reason to be so snotty?

I think it just refers to self feeding as in feeding themselves something whether it be a cracker or something else…I gave my son whole wheat unsalted crackers if that helps you a bit…As well as they have teether biscuits..But im pretty sure it just means a general type of thing…They can pick something up and feed it to themselves.

What is the best method for talking down the price on a new car?

Posted by admin on February 10th, 2010 and filed under talking | 16 Comments »

I have been looking into purchasing a new Mitsubishi Lancer Ralliart with manual transmission. I was looking at the pricing online for the model with all the features I want, and it was right price at $20,000. What is the best method for talking the price down, and how low could I go with that asking price? I am looking around $15,000 if that is possible.

Like Mrs. Strain said, except once at Edmunds, under Tips & Advice, you will find an option for TVM (True-Market-Value) which tells you what other people are paying for the same car in your area on average. You can bump that down by maybe a couple hundred if the dealer is motivated at all.

Use this in conjunction with the suggestion to contact more than one dealer and not go in until you have a price. You could say in your email, something like, "I will buy this car from the dealer who gives me the best price under $x."

You can also negotiate using your existing car a trade-in bait but tell them you don’t plan on trading it in. Then AFTER they give you the price based on their low-ball trade in value, accept the deal but without the trade-in. When they balk and say it was contingent on the trade-in, threaten to leave, complaining they were trying to rip you off on your trade-in. Go in at the end of the month and waste a LOT of their time before getting to the bargaining table. Some of these options won’t work well with the email routine, but you can tweak it to your satisfaction.

Don’t forget — Invoice is not what the dealer pays. It is what he pays gross, but they get bonus money for selling x number of cars, etc. just like when the price you pay is not what you end up paying after getting a cash rebate or incentive financing.

Oh, that’s another trick — let them finance you (they get a cut) but come in a few days later and pay it off. If you don’t have cash, do this using alternative financing like through your credit union.

Is she waiting me to start talking to her first?

Posted by admin on February 6th, 2010 and filed under talking | 4 Comments »

There’s this girl that I’ve known for quite some time now, about half a dozen months now, and I think we’ve become friends. Anyways we share one class with each other and we happen to sit facing each other. The thing is that she barely initiates the talking even though we are friends and had plenty of time to get comfortable with each other. Yet when we sit there silently she does things like random sighs, tapping my shoes with her shoes, flaunting herself before I say something to her.

yeah, it sounds like she isn’t too sure whether you like her or not but she is trying to let you know that she has a thing for you through body language. Just her to hang out sometime, you’ll be surprised what you learn about a person outside of school.

What does it mean when a man begins talking about getting married?

Posted by admin on February 3rd, 2010 and filed under talking | 8 Comments »

So my boyfriend has recently began talking about us as married. He signed my parents anniversary card as their son-in-law and claims he will be soon. We’ve been dating two years. We’ve flirted with the topic of marriage but never really talked about it. Do you think he’s really thinking about proposing?

Yep, that sounds like a pretty good indicator to me. How do you feel about it? I think this is definitely a sign that he’s THINKING about doing it, but it also could be his way of testing the waters to see how you’ll react to it, which means he might be afraid to.

If you feel that you want him to propose, then I would recommend some cute little hints back at him that you want him to. To me, this 100% strikes me as a nervous way of bringing up the topic in a playful manner to gauge your reaction, but not out himself too much if you’re not ready. Give it some thought and let us know what happens.

Good luck, and congratulations, if this is what you want!
