my sister and i have acumulated a large ammount of stuffed animals over the years and some we just dont need. so we were wondering if we can donate them somewhere. maybe to a place that gives them to young hospital patients.
Check out Stuffed Animals For Emergencies and you can contact someone near you who collects donations.

Please Help! I had my stuffed animals on my bed on the side where the wall was, and now I took them off, and there is black mold on them everywhere! They are very important to me, and I do not want to get rid of them at all. I heard that you can put clorox bleach cleaners on them, but I am still not sure if it will ruin the colors. Thank You.
I’d be more concerned about my own health than the stuffies. What is it about the room that mold is growing? Washing in a machine with bleach will not kill all the mold, but will be better than detergent alone.
Also plan on cleaning everything else including the wall, improving air circulation in the room. You’ve been breathing that mold, lovely thought. Look here for something better than bleach……or let’s say, the second step after bleach?? http://www.concrobium.com/atHome_howItWorks.php
I want realistic stuffed animals, for decoration. Maybe cats. I like cats but I’m allergic. And fantasy animals (Dragons, griffins, stuffs) just realistic looking
When I was little I use to go to a place where brakables were sold, and they would have stuffed dogs and cats that would lay in a bed and look so real. My cousin has one right now and she played a trick on our other cousin and said it was real and she believed it.
Hope I helpedd
Where can I buy the stuffed animals that you can have people sign? One of my students is moving away, and I thought it would be cute if our whole class could sign a stuffed animal for her.
That is a good idea!
My daughter has a DoodleBear, and she loves it…anyway, your best bet would be Toys R Us…
Walmart and Target also carry those types of things.
Here’s a link to Toys R Us’s.
See which one you like.

They had a type of these when i was a kid…
Good luck! =)
My mom saved all my toys from when I was younger, and she recently brought them over to me to give to my kids. But I was wondering – will it be okay? The toys are mostly stuffed animals and dolls – nothing with lead paint, I am pretty sure.
They have been sitting in bags in my mom’s storage room for about 20 years. I smelled them and they smell okay, not too musty but not brand new either. Most of the toys are either stuffed animals or Cabbage Patch dolls. So, what do you think? Will it be okay?
Was the storage room damp? If so, toss them. You cannot eliminate mold spores. If it was dry, just keep the ones that are clearly machine washable.
I do have stuffed toys that are old that do not smell and were kept dry, but I won’t give them to my cousin’s daughter to play with until she is at least 5 since they can’t be thoroughly washed and dried. However, her mom is going to put them up on the wall to decorate her stuffed animal mecca (toys include an original Snuffleupagus as well as a large monkey).
My suggestions are overly cautious. If it were not for my brother’s dust mite allergy, my advice would have been quite different.
edited to add: I find the one poster’s comment interesting. Your child shouldn’t play with the toys, but that you should donate them to Salvation Army for another child? Does that even make sense? Heck, we buy toys from garage sales all the time – just want to be sure that you can wash and dry them. Do not donate toys you would not allow your own children to play with.
haha sooo i was bored and hyper (AS USUAL) and made video….yeP …enjoy my prettys -subscribe,comment,rate,message, tell your people freinds and all that – ^_^

My sister and I were cleaning out our closet and she found a bunch of old stuffed animals in big plastic hefty bags. We put them there for temporary storage, about a year or two.
Is it safe for her to sleep with them tonight or should we wash them?
What do you think?
Part of what we’re worried about is potential spiders in the fur? Is that even a possibility?
I think you should check for any problems and just to be safe maybe wash them. I wouldnt worry to much if its just a regular closet but it depends!
Hope this helps!!!
