Anyone know what year playskool doctor was made??? ?

Posted by admin on February 19th, 2010 and filed under playskool | 1 Comment »

… also in the late 1970’s early 1980’s what medical games were there???

I remember a surgery game, was it called operation??? i can’t recall.

Operation is a game for kids. They have to use metal tweezers and try to get a part inside without hitting a metal part, which it will buzz.

First you need to choose a card. And that card will tell you what you get. If you get it with OUT getting the buzzer, you win the fake money that the card says.

don’t you weep pretty babe

Ads for the Busy Ball Popper and the Simon Says Sit & Spin.

I caught these on tape when I recorded Pushing Daisies. The Ryan Playskool ads have also aired during Dancing With the Stars and America’s Funniest Videos.

Looking for a toy my son had in 1991, I think its from playskool. I thought it was called a songbird….?

Posted by admin on February 15th, 2010 and filed under playskool | 2 Comments »

Anyhow it was a yellow bird that had a white ring at the top (to hang from a crib I guess) and it had a button on the back to push for music and it sang for a long time (unlike todays toys). Its an older toy since I had it in 1991. Would love to find one, but cant so I am wondering if Im remembering who made it or what it was called incorrectly. Any help would be soooo very appreciated.
Yes potters!!!! Thats it! And I’ve searched ebay too and didnt find it. I spend much free time at ebay and no luck! I’ve been searching for soo long!
You are so my hero! I owe you one! You rock out loud! You made my year! Thanks!!

Should I buy my son a real basketball hoop or a plastic playskool kids one?

Posted by admin on February 13th, 2010 and filed under playskool | 5 Comments »

My son is 5. He is 4′4" tall and 75-80lbs. He’s very tall for his age.

Anyway, one of the things that he told me that he wanted was a basketball hoop and ball for Christmas.

I am trying to decide if I should buy him a real hoop and ball and he can learn on it, or if I should go the cheaper and kid-friendly route and get a cheap playskool type of hoop and ball combo.

I’m asking because of his age. I know that a regular hoop might be too big for him, but I can keep it on the lowest setting. He can then grow into it.

Thanks for the help.

I think a regular hoop would be better for him. If it has different settings so as to make it lower as you suggest, then that seems ideal. Merry Christmas!
