So like i dont understand. Im 13. And i hear people talking about mattel or pre mattel. Whats the differnce. What is it on american girl dolls. What is mattel and pre mattel. I have no clue what it is.
Pre-Mattel refers to AG dolls that are from Pleasant Company. Mattel AG refers to dolls made after they were bought out by Mattel. The quality of the dolls kind of went down, and the dolls were are now more commercialized. There’s a little less focus on the historical dolls, now, too.
What does mattel and pre mattel mean on ag dolls.?
Is it ok to order toys directly from Mattel website ?
I live in Singapore and i want to order some toys from the U.S. Mattel (Because it is cheaper) website. If i pay by PayPal, will Mattel send the package to my country. Sorry, just asking to prevent any mistakes.
If it turns out that they wont ship to your country surely to god they would refund your money. I think you are fine to order it
Where can I find a Mattel Iago hand puppet?
When I was a kid I owned an Iago hand puppet from the Disney movie Aladdin. It had a yellow, hollow plastic beak, movable wings, three (or so) elastic "hairs" on the top of its head, and the hole for your hand was right underneath his tail. It was made by Mattel in the early 90s, and I was just trying to find one like the one I had as a kid.
I saw one like that at a local flea market last weekend. Had I knew you need it I’da picked it up. When I go this afternoon, I’ll look and see if they still have it.
Let me know what your e-mail address is so I can get back to you.
When do the academics and the athletics start at Mattel’s monster high?
The academics and athletics start in September. Can’t wait! =)
Who thinks Mattel’s new wwe figures suck and we need jakks back making them?
I think Mattel’s new figures suck I mean they are so small and gay jakks figures were so much better bigger and had much more detail and least with them you got the title belts for figures which was nice now you can only by jakks online and some in stores until they all go least jakks has signed with tna and now tna can have some good detail bigger and better figures.
I’m not a big fan of Mattel either, but I do like their removable shirts and accesories. At least Jakks is making TNA action figures now, and let me tell you, they look amazing.

They’ll match up with my old WWE action figures so now I can have the coolest fantasy matches ever, even though I will probably buy them and keep them in the case.
Why is Mattel not making an Alice Barbie for the new movie?
I mean, what the heck? I saw it mentioned that they were only making a Johnny Depp Hatter Barbie. They create barbies for everyone in the Mad Men cast but they can’t even make a doll for the leading lady herself, Alice? Does anyone know why?
beacsue alice and the red queen and the hatter were already made but the hatter that was made beforehand looked like the mad hatter in the books alice and the queen looked fine the way they were
Do you think that Mattel is getting what is deserves for shipping US jobs overseas?
One thing that a lot of companies are doing is they are shipping jobs overseas because it is cheaper. They do this so that the CEO and Board of Directors can have their nice expenisive life. "Less money spent on labor the bigger boat I can buy." Amercian’s need to check the label before buying a product. If it says "MADE IN CHINA" put it right back on the shelf. They are getting what they pay for cheap labor-cheap quality. Unfortunately we Americans have to pay for thier selfish choices. Thanks corporate Amercia for looking for our future. Thanks for shipping jobs overseas-how patriotic of you. What do you think?
I have noticed that things made overseas are not any cheaper. They lose any savings by having to ship it into our ports and then pay to transport it across the nation. Bring our jobs back and buy US products only. It would work if everyone would do it. Alas, no one will.
Is there a number for Mattel I could use to get information regarding the production of Barbie?
I’m doing a project for my human geography class on industry. And I picked Barbie as my product to learn about. I called Mattel hotline and they directed me to another number, and they hung up on me!….i think. I just need a number where I could be directly connected to a person who knows as much about Barbie manufacturing as possible.
Try emailing them, or calling them more than once, god kids are so freaking lazy these days.
Wait, aren’t you the same person who asked about shipping times but didn’t specify where you would be shipping to? And then gave me a thumbs down for attenpting to answer your poorly phrased question?
Barbie is produced in a sweat shop in Thailand. 75% of the employees have respiratory disorders, and are very sick. It is not a good place to work, and the conditions of this sweat shop have been made public and have been in the news in previous years. The public was outraged! As such, they created a big cover-up so it is impossible to find out any information on Barbie production now.
Time to pick a new product… something local.
When did Mattel start producing career-themed Barbie dolls?
I know that Barbie was launched in March of 1959, but I was wondering if anyone knew the year (or even the decade) that Mattel began to introduce career-themed Barbies.
Technically 1959 Barbie No. 1 was career themed, as she was a teenage fashion model. In 1961 Registered Nurse Barbie came out, and in 1965, Astronaut Barbie started showing little girls that they can be anything they want when they grow up. Careers have been a constant theme with Barbie since day 1.
I have a lighted Barbie display case used in stores by Mattel. How do I find out how much its worth?
This case is white, metal I believe with a glass front. Barbie is written on it in the traditional pink lettering. It plugs in and has a working light and also locks. It was used in Wal Mart and Toys R Us stores by Mattel to display collection edition Barbies.
In all honesty, they aren’t worth much. There is someone who has been trying to sell those on kijiji.com for about 3 years, with no luck. They are selling 2 for $300.00, which is a damn good price, but the problem is that as a Barbie collector, if I am going to buy shelving, I will need something that will display up to 65 dolls at once, and those cases only hold about 5-10 tops. You might be better off selling them via a secondary market at a Barbie retailer.
