Can stuffed animals be donated to the police?

I have a lot of stuffed animals to get rid of from my childhood but not sure what to do with them. Most of them are in good shape and some haven’t been played with at all.

As long as they are clean and in good shape, yes.

What is the name of the slow background music offered in the Boggle game by Hasbro?

Posted by admin on June 24th, 2011 and filed under hasbro | 1 Comment »

The Boggle game I am referring to is about ten years old; we got it from a cereal box. The game offered a selection of music that could be played in the background. One of the songs was sort of slow, a little sad – I think it was called Starlight or Starling or something similar? Anyone know what it is called and where I can find it (on Youtube, or for download)?

Composing music for video games has become a cottage industry. Most of the music for such games are composed and orchestrated for the game exclusively. It is probably not available for download. May I suggest you contact the publisher directly at www.hasbro.com?

What is the best way to fix a wooden table top to its pedestal leg?

Posted by admin on June 22nd, 2011 and filed under wooden | 1 Comment »

I have a small occasional table with a pedestal leg. The top has come away from the leg. There is a wooden screw on the top which is sound, but the thread on the leg looks worn.

Should I fill the hole with something to stabilise it, then use glue. Is there a special type of glue for wooden furniture?

A permanent fix would be to put a dob of Araldite epoxy glue in the hole (enough to fill the gaps in the thread and re-fix) and then screw or push to top back on. Once in place put the table on a hard floor and put weights on the top to hold it firmly together. Keep it stable and leave for two – four hours. Make sure you remove any dust/debris from the hole before you insert adhesive

Why did the Hyperscan by Mattel fail as a video game console?

What was wrong with this that forced it to shut down after five games? What did Mattel do wrong?

Yes it did Fail. The reasons being that it ran on CDs coming out in 2006, not DVDs or Blu-Rays as the 360 and PS3 did respectively. also, its native resolution was 480p, paling in comparison to the HD 720p and 1080p offered by the Xbox and PS3, also respectively. Another reason was the terrible undermarketing. (I’d never even actually heard about it until this question) Also, it had 16 MB of SDRAM when compared to the 512 MB and the 256 MB of the Xbox and PS3, once again respectively. Also, no internal storage. Even the Wii had that. All in all, mattel should have put more time and effort into building this system. If they had, it would have been great. It was a console built for the fifth generation that came out in the seventh. Its only good thing was the price point at $69.99(€48.89, £43.26). But even that was not enough to save this doomed console.

How long after talking to a recruiter can I go to boot camp?

I am 17 years old and graduated and about to go talk to the USMC recruiter. I am wondering, how long after talking to the recruiter could I get to MEPS then boot camp? I don’t believe I will need any waivers, I am psychically fit and I can get a good ASVAB score. And I want to go into Infantry (MOS 0352 Anti Tank Assault Guided Missile Man)
My parent will sign me in.

Because you are 17, you’ll need a parents signature.

Depends on when there are open slots for basic training. Could be a few weeks or a few months.

What does mattel and pre mattel mean on ag dolls.?

Posted by admin on June 12th, 2011 and filed under mattel | 1 Comment »

So like i dont understand. Im 13. And i hear people talking about mattel or pre mattel. Whats the differnce. What is it on american girl dolls. What is mattel and pre mattel. I have no clue what it is.

Pre-Mattel refers to AG dolls that are from Pleasant Company. Mattel AG refers to dolls made after they were bought out by Mattel. The quality of the dolls kind of went down, and the dolls were are now more commercialized. There’s a little less focus on the historical dolls, now, too.
