I’m going to make stuffed green peppers that have beans and rice with some cheese, but I would need something to go with them, so what should i make? It cannot have any meat in it.
Thank you.
Eye, for a starters I would use the red bell peppers, I find them to have better flavor, but that is my choice.
Your going to stuff them with beans, rice, cheese, are you doing them in a sauce like a tomato sauce, or as are? That would have been one thing to tell us. If your doing them in the sauce, I wouldn’t have anything else with them, they are big meal in themselves, maybe serve them with warm dinner rolls or a crusty baguette. If you want to really do something extra, serve a soup as an extra, like a pumpkin soup, or potato and leek.
I bought these stuffed salmon filets for dinner. I was thinking that some nice light sides would go well, like a nice house salad and veggies, but then I was also thinking italian pasta or mashed potatoes. What do you think? Any other suggestions?
I think the lighter sides would go well. You could do a salad, veggies, and a flavored rice.
I made these today but they took way too long to cook so we ate something else. We would like to have them tomorrow but I want to be sure a) whether it’s OK to keep stuffed chicken breasts to the next day (usually it is advisable to remove stuffing from birds before storing overnight) and b) how to reheat them without drying them out.
Take them out of the fridge so they can get to room temp and then heat them as normal in the oven. You want to minimize heating time.
I would not worry too much about removing the stuffing just to chill in the fridge. If that were a true issue then generations of people would have been wiped out from stuffed turkey the day after Thanksgiving.
You know their favorite stuffed animals and when they have them long enough there’s no stuffing left? Where does it go?
No, really it’s not there. Munchie, for example, has had two operations, and I’m telling you there was nothing there. But no torn stitching either. It’s just gone.
Ever see that show on TLC "My Strange Addiction"? Yeah, some people actually EAT that stuff. Dude, are you starving the kiddos and making them eat the stuffed animals?!?!?!? Geez.
My daughter loves the PLAYSKOOL GLOWORLD 2-IN-1 FIREFLY MOBILE and the 3 pieces of music that are on the classical section, Does anyone know there titles as i would love to put them on my ipod for the car when i am driving around with her
Dear Mike,
According to this:: http://www.hasbro.com/playskool/en_US/play/details.cfm?guid=5373D159-19B9-F369-1098-AB561C9B539F&src=endeca , the three classical works you’re looking for are, in order:
1- Vivaldi: First movement of Spring, from The Four Seasons (Concertos for violin and orchestra Op. 8, Nos 1 to 4)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l-dYNttdgl0
2- Handel: Menuet I, HWV 351, from Music for the Royal Fireworks
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27lG2nvzCYA
(There are a few bars of filler music before and after Handel’s Menuet)
3- Chopin: Nocturne No. 2 for piano in E-flat major, Op. 9 No. 2
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7sRlylWy1SE
Listening to great music with your daughter while driving around is a wonderful idea. I must say I did the same thing 20 years ago with my daughter, and my son as well, but back then the mp3 was called ”audio cassette”!
Best regards
I thought of this recipe, but did not find it anywhere in google… So I thought about stuffed peppers with rice and blue cheese (or roquefort). What do you think? Hey, any links will be appreciated!
Thanks! Hey, I actually thought of putting the cheese inside the rice mixture…. Oops, could that be possible?
Anything’s possible! It’s just a matter of experimentation. I’ve seen recipes with different cheese and rice combos before. Judging from my rumbly stomach, I think it sounds yummy. Mixing the cheese with the rice is a good idea so you get an even amount of a cheesy bite every time.
Hi. I worked at a wildlife center and I recently ran across some stuffed animals that I recognized from work at a thrift store. I know about raccoon roundworm and I know that the eggs can last in the environment for years. Will washing the stuffed animals in hot water and disinfectants work? Thanks.
If you boil some water, turn the heat off and drop the stuffed animal in while it is still boiling any bacteria or diseases would be killed %100 if it is boiling while the stuffed animal is in it. Keep it in there 30 seconds to be safe, then just throw it in the dryer.
I want to get the dream town rose petal cottage for my niece for her birthday. She is turning six years old. Is that an appropriate gift or is she too old for it
My daughter got it when she was 5 and is now 7 and she still loves it so to answer your question i would say definitely
