What some other doll collectables like dunnys that have many looks?

Posted by admin on November 25th, 2010 and filed under collectables | 1 Comment »

What some other doll collectables like dunnys little big planet people, that have many looks? I want them to be kinda human like.

Some people customize Blythe dolls but I am not sure how you do that. Eyes chips and wigs are sold but I think the dolls all come painted with eyes and rooted hair?

There are unpainted plastic jointed posable dolls, some unpainted with bald heads and a few heads have eyeholes too.

and Obitsu (21-27cm)

There are also Asian Resin Ball Jointed Dolls ($100 for some really small ones, $250-$1000 for more popular 42cm-inch and 60cm-ish sizes). Most can be purchased unpainted (no faceup) and with no eyes or wig. or you can get a faceup done and change the eyes and wigs whenever you want.

Does using the farmhand or arborists on farmville prevent me from getting collectables?

Posted by admin on November 23rd, 2010 and filed under collectables | 1 Comment »

I barely get any collectable myself these days. I have to get them from postings by others. Since using the farmhand or arborist combines the groups, can the prevent a farmer from getting collectables?

I don’t think so. I have used arborists and still found collectibles…..hope this helps.

What is the most sturdy push walker for a wobbly baby?

Posted by admin on November 18th, 2010 and filed under playskool | 4 Comments »

My 10.5m old son has the Playskool Walk n Ride but falls down when it starts to move. I think the problem is that it moves too fast and he’s not so sure on his feet quite yet. I’ve been looking at the Fisher Price Gobble n Go Hippo, but I’d like to hear what other parents have to say.

What walker did your baby have before they were able to walk unassisted? Pros/cons?

I’ve got half a dozen, and quite frankly the one with the MOST resistance is the playskool one that you already have.

I found that it had a bit more resistance when you put it in the ride on toy configuration- my son liked pushing around his playskool walk n ride much better in the ride on configuration.

My son did like to push around the chairs in our dining room when he first started walking- light weight CHAIRS seems to be the best early walking aid! He LOVES it when we go to the restaurant my Aunt works at, as those chairs are light enough for him to push around the floor for HOURS without getting frustrated.

Playskool Tonka Bounce Back Racer, Band A 27 MHZ – how do i change the frequency?

Posted by admin on November 16th, 2010 and filed under playskool | 1 Comment »

When buying mass market or toy-grade radio controlled vehicles, such as those sold at WalMart, Target, and other retail stores, you typically have a choice of two radio frequencies in the U.S.: 27 or 49 megahertz (MHz). These radio frequencies are how the controller communicates with the vehicle. If you don’t plan to run your RC cars, trucks, boats, or aircraft alongside other radio controlled vehicles it doesn’t really matter which frequency they use. However, running two 27MHz or two 49MHz RC cars near each other will usually result in interference — crosstalk. The radio signals get mixed up. One controller will try to control both vehicles or you’ll get erratic behavior in one or both vehicles.

Most fixed frequency 27MHz toy RCs use the specific frequency of 27.145 MHz (Channel 4). However, some toy-grade vehicles have band selectable frequencies. This allows the user to select a narrow portion or band of the frequency to use. Typically the band selectable vehicle will have a channel switch on both the vehicle and the controller that changes between two and up to six bands or channels. In this way, two 27MHz band selectable vehicles can operate in the same area if each vehicle (and its corresponding controller) is set to a different band.

If you see an RC toy labeled as 27MHz but it says something like "Play with up to 3 vehicles at once" then what you have is a toy with selectable channels within the 27MHz range. The manufacturer rarely specifies what those specific channels are but if they use standard color coding, you might be able to figure it out:

•26.995 MHz — Channel 1 (Brown)
•27.045 MHz — Channel 2 (Red)
•27.095 MHz — Channel 3 (Orange)
•27.145 MHz — Channel 4 (Yellow)
•27.195 MHz — Channel 5 (Green)
•27.255 MHz — Channel 6 (Blue)

Some RC toys come equipped with two radio frequencies to choose from with only the flip of a switch, but there are times when the included frequencies aren’t sufficient to avoid the interference problems. For those times, you’ll have to do a bit more to change the frequency of your RC toy than flip a switch.

The proper procedure would be as follows:

1) Purchase a crystal set from a hobby shop online or locally. Make sure that the crystal set is a matched pair with a crystal for both the transmitter and the receiver, and that it is usable by your particular transmitter and receiver system.

2) Open your RC vehicle to access the remote control receiver. You can open most vehicles by removing a set of clips that hold the vehicle body to the chassis. Some will require you to unscrew the body first before removing it. A Phillips head screwdriver is usually required.

3) Locate and remove the current frequency crystal from the receiver, slipping it out of the receiver housing. The crystal should have a tab attached to a small metal body which plugs into the receiver via two small prongs. Pull it gently from the housing so as not to break a prong.

4) Place the new crystal into the receiver, plugging it into the two small holes. The proper crystal in the pair should be labeled with an "Rx", to note that it is the receiver crystal. Replace the car body.

5) Remove the case from your RC radio transmitter, using the screwdriver.

6) Locate and remove the current frequency crystal from the transmitter.

7) Place the new crystal, labeled with a "Tx" for transmitter crystal, into the transmitter. Replace the transmitter case.

Posted by admin on November 13th, 2010 and filed under playskool | 1 Comment »

It was a yellow and orange pretend chain saw where you would pull a string pull a trigger and the chain saw moved and made a little noise. Does anyone remember this?

I remember those annoying things, LOL. check at wal-mart.
