What furniture store can I find a nice soft plush leather reclining sofa – it has to be wide enough for?

Posted by admin on October 31st, 2009 and filed under plush | 1 Comment »

long legs. Every time I find a leather sofa it’s either too rigid or you sit too straight up in it. I haven’t found one yet that’s reclining and also plush.

It depends on where you live. Art Van and Gardner White are two popular furniture stores in Michigan. I have had nothing but great customer service and the quality of furniture is great too, at Art Van.

How high can a wooden construction be in a back garden without planning permission?

Posted by admin on October 31st, 2009 and filed under wooden | 3 Comments »

I want to build a wooden lean-to against my back wall but don’t want to go through planning permission. I’ve heard about a 3 meter limit but would like to know for sure. (Building in the UK)

You definitely need to check with your local authorities for your specific location. You say "against my back wall" which I suspect will not be allowed. If you mean the house, it might be considered a fire hazard. If you mean the fence, there is probably a set-back requirement. In our area, if set-back is met and the square footage is met, there is no specific height requirement (my neighbors built an ugly "storage shed" 20 feet high after I bought this house, totally blocking the sunset view I had. It has never been painted and seems to be used primarily for children to throw things out of the window on the second floor into their own yard and sometimes mine. They did not need a permit for it; I checked when it started going up.

Depending on what the lean-to is for, if you cannot do it as originally planned, you might put up an interior chain-link fence and later cover it with a removable but secure cover. That is not technically a building, especially if you make it like a dog kennel and it has no floor. For some weather-proofing, add slats to the chain link and hang heavy mill plastic on the inside; not a building, but servicable for many things.

Good luck.

Should I start talking to my crush this way?

Posted by admin on October 31st, 2009 and filed under talking | 1 Comment »

She’s never alone. Always with a friend. I know her myspace. Should I friend request her own myspace and start talking to her on myspace, which will allow me to talk to her in school because we’ll already be somewhat friends? Or should I wait until shes alone in the hallway to talk to her? We have classes together but I want to talk to her in the hallway, but she never alone.

Myspace sounds like the better choice. Gives you the comfort of knowing that ur not immediately face to face (which is something you two are not well known enough to each other for) and it also gives you the comfort of being able to say what you need to say no matter how awkward.

How do I detach myself from old stuffed animals?

Posted by admin on October 31st, 2009 and filed under stuffed animals | 4 Comments »

I have been completely attached to A LOT of stuffed animals for awhile. I know its time to move on and get rid of them, but they mean a lot to me…..I have a hard time looking at them and thinking of getting rid of them. Please help! I need advice, I don’t want to be embarrassed when friends come and see all the stuffed animals i own.

its soo hard to get rid of them i know.. i had like 4 garbage bags full.

ask someone to do it with you.
you can choose one to keep! the one that means the most.
when someone is there like a family member or friend you are in a controlled environment and they wont let you fail!
memories suck to get rid of.

but memories come and go.ya? and it sucks to face the reality.
but when you move on you will fall A LOT better! like a new person. and maybe its time for a change. as long as the memories are in your head. you will not need the stuffed animals.
you could even write your memories down. keep them somewhere. like on some sticky notes. when your not feeling so good. look at those notes! it will remind you of the memories AND the stuffed animals!

good luck!!!!!!

where to go to find information on antique urns collectables?

Posted by admin on October 31st, 2009 and filed under collectables | 1 Comment »

I have an urn that is a family urn made by little paris in the 1850’s where can i go to see what it is worth?

I’d try a site like Kovels.com. Or kovel.com. I forget which is the correct link. At any rate, if you can’t find an answer there, I believe that site has related links…

Could also try Christy’s or Christie’s (forget which one is correct),the auction house in NYC.

These are links I’ve heard of but never checked out myself:

www.tias.com
www.acguide.com

Im looking to buy some plush roses for my girlfriend for Valentines day but I am looking for plush roses in a color "other than" the traditional red color. Pink is okay, blue or white would be nice also. Is there a place that sells these plush roses online in colors "other than" red?

Try this site:

or this site:

difference between hasbro and Master Replica light sabers?

Posted by admin on October 29th, 2009 and filed under hasbro | 1 Comment »

i dont even expect to get an answer. But im just wondering what the difference between Hasbro light sabers and Master Replicas light sabers are? they look the same to me.

This guy did a side-by-side comparison on the Luke Skywalker lightsabers from Hasbro and Master Replicas.

To paraphrase his findings,
- Some trivial details on the Hasbro saber were shinier and/or more pronounced than the Master Replica details, but everything else was essentially identical
- When ignited, the Master Replica saber showed less dark spots along the blade which made it seem brighter or fuller than the Hasbro saber
- Both sabers seem to use the same electronics for the soundboard. (video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1OAacORJLjg)

I believe both are manufactured in the same factory. And I don’t think there’s really much of a difference between the two as far as quality. I own 6 master replica sabers and in my experience, the blade brightness and fullness kind of varies from blade to blade.

Hope this helps. Here’s the link to the forum where the guy posted his comparison:
